CHEM 1030 - Introduction to Chemistry


Introduction to Chemistry is designed for non-technical and allied health majors. This course includes a survey of general chemistry principles, the nomenclature and reactions of selected organic functional groups and concludes with topics directly related to biochemistry and the chemistry of life. The lab component introduces students to scientific measurements and allows experimental investigations into topics of relevance to their daily lives.

Prerequisites & Notes
Prerequisites: DSPR 0870, DSPW 0800 and DSPM 0800.

4 Credit Hours - 3 Lecture Hours, 3 Lab Hours (F, S)
