*GEOG 1950 - Introduction to GIS Technology

Introduction to Geography Information Systems (GIS) is a study the basics of using computerized map information in science, education, social sciences, and business applications.  Students will learn to organize their own projects using mapping software, spatial data, GPS technology, and other emerging technologies. (Because of the technical nature of the course, students must demonstrate adequate computer skills before enrolling.  This course is same as CRMJ 1950 and CISP 1950.

 

Prerequisites & Notes
Note: This course was formerly GEOG 2010.

Prerequisites:  READ 0870, ENGL 0800/0870, MATH 0890/MATH 0891 (MLS 1), or appropriate entrance scores.

3 Credit Hours
