DAST 1600 - Fundamentals of Dental Assisting Fundamentals of Dental Assisting is a basic course to prepare the student to work and communicate with patients and dental members effectively. Emphasis is on ethics, legal aspects, terminology, charting, oral and written communication and patient care.
