INTC 1043 - Equipment III

Equipment III will introduce the various types of process equipment used in a chemical manufacturing facility. Students will cover the uses of the equipment as well as associated auxiliary equipment. Topics included are reactors, furnaces, heat exchangers, cooling towers, mixers, filters/centrifuges, cyclones/scrubbers, decanters/extractors, evaporators/crystallizers, dryers, and vents. Each topic will address equipment functionality, performance, and safety guidelines.
