Aviation Technology (A.A.S.)

The Aviation Technology Associate of Applied Science degree provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills of the aviation maintenance and repair industry. Instruction in the program emphasizes maintenance skills associated with the repair and installation of aviation electronics, aircraft structures, aircraft mechanical systems and various aviation fundamental including but not limited to human factor in aviation, risk management, Advisory Directives, Type Certificate Data Sheets, Advisory Circulars, FAA history, documentation meeting FAA regulations and aircraft inspection and maintenance records. Students will develop core skills in fuselage and sheet metal repair, electrical systems, hydraulics, and aircraft repair procedures.

Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Learning Support


Additional courses may be required to overcome deficiencies in English, mathematics, and reading.
