Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Additional Information


* Students who are not prepared for CHEM 1110 will need some or all of the following based on placement test scores: MATH 1100  or MATH 1130  and/or MATH 1710 or CHEM 1000 .

** Student who intend to transfer to UTK must complete a sequence of non-U.S. History. 

*** Students who select the Biology TTP with the intention to concentrate in pre-med or other pre-health related fields at the university are strongly recommended to take Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.

**** Students who are not prepared for Calculus I should take MATH 1710  Pre-Calculus Algebra and/or MATH 1720  Pre-Calculus Trigonometry. Students should check with their intended transfer school to determine which mathematics course is required. Students transferring to TSU should take MATH 1720 or higher.

Additional Information Regarding Foreign Language


At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science Degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found of the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee System. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
