Computer and Information Sciences - Concentration: Internet and Web Development

The Internet and Web Development program concentrates on teaching the design and management of third generation web sites using the latest software and multimedia tools to position individuals at the leading edge of Internet and E-commerce technologies. By preparing a qualified workforce in the technical industries within the Northeast State region, employers can rely on available resources and skills for maintaining Web-based systems that have become the key markets for online information and electronic commerce. Furthermore, students will be academically prepared to take national Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certification examinations in Site Designer, E-Commerce Designer, and I-Net+, leading to the Master Designer (MCIWD) certification.
