SOWK 2400 - Rural Appalachian Culture Rural Appalachian Culture is designed for students to understand the role of social service providers and their practice in rural areas and in Appalachia to prepare them for providing effective social service in the region. The course focuses on the unique social and cultural characteristics of rural and Appalachian people and studies the impact of the major social institutions of the region.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: DSPR 0800, DSPW 0800 or appropriate entrance scores. 3 Credit Hours - 3 Lecture Hours (Variable)
