Vascular Diagnostic Procedures covers principles of vascular anatomy and physiology; hemodynamics; atherogenesis; cardiovascular disease; duplex scanning of carotid arteries; venous disease and testing. Emphasis is placed on peripheral arterial disease; arterial testing; other heart and blood disorders and tests; abdominal Doppler; instrumentation review; quality assurance calculations; angiography and diagnostic modalities; and history, physical and patient interaction. Additionally, the student will be trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) under the American Heart Association Standards.
