CHEM 1035 - ♦Foundations of Problem Solving in Science This is a course specifically designed to teach students exactness, precision, and logic in the application of their basic mathematical skills to the analysis, set-up, and solution to problems encountered in college chemistry, physics, and engineering courses. Course topics include scientific measurement systems, notation, and unit conversions; dimensional analysis; chemical symbols; single-step problem analysis and solution; multi-step problem analysis and solutions; calculator and graphing applications to problems which involve exponents and logarithms; complex calculations which span multiple chemical laws and theories including physical properties, chemical stoichiometry, gases and liquids, thermochemistry, and the basic structure of matter.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: All Required Learning Support math modules
