OFMG 2160 - ICD-CM Coding ICD-CM Coding introduces the student to coding conventions, guidelines, and proper use of the Index and Tabular Lists for coding diagnoses of ambulatory (outpatient) and inpatient medical necessity. HIPAA standards, reimbursement, and Medicare fraud/abuse are also reviewed. Instruction focuses on mastery of coding guidelines and medical terminology used in professional medical practice.
