AVIT 2510 - Power Plant Fundamentals V *Power Plant Fundamentals V will cover engine instrument systems, ignition and starting systems, and engine fire protection systems. The student will learn engine fuel flow systems, temperature monitoring, pressure, annunciators, torquemeters, digital engine control module, and engine instrument range markings. Ignition system theory, shower of sparks and impulse coupling, solid-state ignition systems, engine starters, and turbine engine ignition systems. Types of fires and engine fire zones. Fire detection system maintenance and inspection requirements. Fire extinguishing system maintenance and inspection.
