Organic Chemistry I is an examination of the compounds of carbon, including the uniqueness of carbon bonding and molecular arrangement. Coverage includes the structures, nomenclature, preparations, reactions and industrial applications of alkanes, alkenes, acetylene, alkyl halides, alcohols and ethers. Infrared and mass spectral analyses are briefly examined.
