EMTP 1030 - Emergency Medical Technician Basic I Emergency Medical Technician Basic I includes topics such as: roles and responsibilities; medical, legal and ethical issues; anatomy and physiology of human body systems with an emphasis on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems; fluids, electrolytes and acid-base balance. Topics also include airway management, medical emergencies, and patient assessment. Successful completion of this course allows the student to enroll in EMTP 1050.
