Automotive Service

The Automotive Service certificate program prepares individuals as automotive technicians. Topics studied include automotive troubleshooting/maintenance and the repair of engines, drive trains, suspension systems, electrical/electronic systems, emission control systems, and heating/air conditioning systems.

After completing program requirements, students should be academically prepared to take the following:

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification Exams

All courses in the Automotive Service certificate program will articulate into the Associate of Applied Science degree program in Industrial Technology - Concentration: Automotive Service.

 

General Education Requirements


Note: All courses must be from the  Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Requirements


Students must complete all learning support deficiencies in reading or have appropriate entrance scores.
