Office Technology

The Office Technology technical certificate program prepares individuals for entry-level duties in technology-intensive office environments. Emphasis is placed on developing skills such as receiving visitors, filing, telephoning, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and working with others as a member of an office team.

After completing program requirements, students should be academically prepared to take the following:

  • Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) core level Word certification exam

All courses in the Office Technology certificate program will articulate into the Associate of Applied Science degree program in Office Administration Technology - Concentration: General Office. Some courses will articulate into the Office Administration Technology - Concentrations: Legal Office and/or Medical Office degree program.

General Education Requirements


Note: All courses must be from the  Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Requirements


Students must complete all learning support deficiencies in reading and writing and MATH 0891 or have appropriate entrance scores.
