Administrative Professional Technology - Concentration: Legal Office

The Legal Office concentration prepares individuals for employment as secretaries, office managers, or administrative assistants in law enforcement offices, courts, or legal offices. The program provides the opportunity for skill development in the areas of software applications, electronic and routine office procedures, records management, law office management, legal document processing, communications, legal terminology, and transcription.

After completing program requirements, students should be academically prepared to take the following:

  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) core level Word, Excel, and PowerPoint certification exams.

Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Learning Support


Additional courses may be required to overcome deficiencies in English, mathematics, and reading.
