Additional Information

* Students who are not prepared for calculus will also need some or all of the following courses based on placement testing: MATH 1100 , MATH 1710 , MATH 1720 .

**This course is not offered at Northeast State. Students who want to graduate with this emphasis will need to take the course at another institution and transfer it in. Alternatively, students may graduate with an emphasis in pre-engineering: general. However, students should be aware that this course is a pre-requisite to most courses at the junior level in TBR or UT electrical engineering programs.

***UT Knoxville accepts Northeast State’s MATH 2080  as an equivalent course for STAT 201 - Introduction to Statistics.

Students are encouraged to take two courses, Circuits II and Digital Design, before transferring to a university.

Courses in engineering technology do not fulfill any of the requirements for the Area of Emphasis in Electrical Engineering.

Although it is possible to complete the B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering in four semesters after earning the associate’s degree, students typically need five or six semesters to complete requirements.

Transfer Requirements

Tennessee Transfer Path to UT/TBR four year universities in compliance with Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010.
