Computer Information Technology - Concentration: Networking

Accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE)

Students in the Networking Concentration will complete coursework and hands-on experience in planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of networks of different sizes. In addition to networking skills, students will also complete Computer Science coursework in security, operating systems, server management, and programming, in combination with other technology courses. Upon successfully completing this program, the student will be academically prepared for the current certification exams for Network+, A+, and Cisco ICND1 Required courses are A+ Hardware and Software, Windows Server Administration and Network Security.

Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Learning Support


Additional courses may be required to overcome deficiencies in English, mathematics, and reading.
