The Paramedic certificate will provide individuals with advanced level knowledge and skills associated with pre-hospital care during illness and traumatic injuries. The paramedic renders basic and advanced life support to patients at the scene of their injuries or illnesses and continues this treatment while transporting these patients to the hospital.

Individual counseling and assessment may result in the scheduling of additional courses to overcome all remedial deficiencies in English and mathematics. Upon completion of the Paramedic certificate program students may apply for admission to the associate of applied science degree program in Paramedic.

All courses in the Paramedic certificate program will articulate into the associate of applied science degree program in Paramedic.
