Office Technology

The Office Technology technical certificate program prepares individuals for entry-level duties in technology-intensive office environments. Emphasis is placed on developing skills such as receiving visitors, filing, telephoning, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and working with others as a member of the office team.

After completing program requirements, students should be academically prepared to take the following:

  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) core level Word and Excel certification exam

All courses in the Office Technology certificate program will articulate into the Associate of Applied Science degree program in Administrative Professional Technology - Concentration: Business Office. Some courses will articulate into the Administrative Professional Technology - Concentrations: Legal Office and/or Medical Office degree program.
 

General Education Requirements


Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Requirements


Students must complete all learning support deficiencies in English, mathematics, and reading or have appropriate entrance scores.
