General Education Requirements


Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

General Courses


  • Speech - Select one course Credits: 3
  • Literature - Select one course Credits: 3
  • Humanities/Fine Arts - Select two courses Credits: 6
  • Social/Behavioral Sciences - Select two courses Credits: 6

Science credit earned that is over 10 years old will not be accepted as meeting program requirements. Any exceptions to this requirement, must be approved by the dean of the Science Division.

Emphasis Courses


  • Guided Elective - Credits: 2

Students who plan to continue at a college that offers a bachelor’s degree approved by the American Chemical Society should take those courses marked by **
