General Education Requirements


Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

General Courses


  • Speech - Public Speaking or General Speech - Credits: 3  Select one from the following:
       SPCH 1010 - Fundamentals of Speech
       SPCH 2300 - Public Speaking
       SPCH 2320 - Argumentation and Debate
  • Fine Arts - (ART, MUS, THEA) - Credits: 3  Select one from the following:
        ARTH 1030 - Introduction to Art
        ARTH 2010 - Art History Survey I
        ARTH 2020 - Art History Survey II
        MUS 1030 - Music Appreciation
        THEA 1030 - Introduction to Theatre
        THEA 2010 - Theatre History I
        THEA 2020 - Theatre History II
  • Literature: Credits: 3   Select one from the following:
       ENGL 2110 - American Literature I
       ENGL 2120 - American Literature II
       ENGL 2130 - American Masterpieces

                                                                                                                                                                                            

Science credit earned that is over 10 years old will not be accepted as meeting program requirements. Any exceptions to this requirement, must be approved by the dean of the Science Division.

Transfer Requirements


This A.S. guide is designed to facilitate transfer to King College.  Students who intend to transfer to a different institution should consult their advisor and the receiving institution for specific course selections.
