Transfer Requirements

^* Students who intend to transfer to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), are encouraged to complete one U.S. History course and one non-U.S. History course to fulfill the History requirement.

^** Students who intend to transfer to APSU, ETSU, UoM, UTC, and UTK should take MATH 1530 . UTM requires MATH 1130 - College Algebra. TSU requires MATH 1710 .

^*** Students who intend to transfer to the UoM must complete at least one fine arts under the Humanities & Fine Arts general education requirement.

^**** Students who intend to transfer to TSU are encouraged to take POLS 1030 .

^***** Students who intend NOT to transfer to ETSU should take MATH 1420  instead of PSYC 2210.

This A.S.T. guide is designed to facilitate transfer to ETSU and other TBR institutions unless otherwise noted.  Students who intend to transfer to a different institution should consult their advisor and the receiving institution for specific course selections.

Additional Degree Requirements:

1.  Attainment of 2.75 cumulative grade point average
2.  Successful completion of Praxis Core or ACT composite score of 21 (or SAT score of 1080) or better
3.  Satisfactory rating on an index of suitability for the teaching profession
