Note: All courses must be from the Approved Courses for General Education  courses for each category listed in the General Education section of this catalog.

Transfer Requirements


Tennessee Transfer Path to UT/TBR four year universities in compliance with Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010.

*Students who plan to transfer to the Univerity of Memphis (UoM) must complete at least one fine arts under the Humanities & Fine Arts general education requirement. Student who plan to transfer to ETSU should take PHIL 2640 .

**Students who intend to transfer to University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK) and University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM), should take MATH 1530 or above to fulfill the Math requirement.

***Students who intend to transfer to UTK should take HIST 2310  and HIST 2320 .

****Students who intend to transfer to Tennessee Technological University should take POLS 1030 .

*****Students who plan to transfer to the UTK or UTM should take the BIOL 1110 /BIOL 1120  sequence.

******Student who intend to transfer to ETSU should take COMM 2055 .

Additional Information Regarding Foreign Language


At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science Degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found in the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee System. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
