Transfer Requirements
Tennessee Transfer Path to UT/TBR four year universities in compliance with Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010.
*Students who intend to transfer to the University of Memphis should take at least one fine arts under the Humanities & Fine Arts general education requirement. Student who plan to transfer to ETSU should take PHIL 2640 .
** Students intending to transfer to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga or Austin Peay State University should complete social/behavioral science courses from two separate disciplines (e.g., SOCI 1010; ECON 2100, etc.); It is recommended that students take PSYC 1030 at the four-year and choose another approved social/behavioral gen ed course.
*** Choose two of the following:
**** Must be a natural science sequence.
***** Students who intend to transfer to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville should take HIST 2310 and HIST 2320 .
****** Students who intend to transfer to ETSU should take COMM 2055 .
Additional Information Regarding Foreign Language
At some universities, foreign language may be required in certain programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science Degree. Complete information regarding foreign language requirements at each university may be found in the transfer and articulation websites of the Tennessee Board of Regents and the University of Tennessee System. Community college students are encouraged to be familiar with foreign language requirements at the universities and, if applicable, complete the requirements before transferring.
